BBC One's long-running show was watched by 5.82m (30.2%) at 6.30pm, while MasterChef gathered 5.07m (23.8%) at 7.30pm. Antiques Roadshow followed with 4.54m (19.9%) at 8pm.
Poldark added 300,000 viewers for its latest episode with 5.53m (23.0%) at 9pm.
On BBC Two, Jordan Spieth's Masters win averaged 2.45m (13.3%) between 6.30pm and 12.15am.
ITV's The Chase: Celebrity Special entertained 2.64m (13.8%) at 6.30pm (150k/0.7%), before Off Their Rockers brought in 2.99m (14.1%) at 7.30pm (212k/0.9%). Vera rose to 4.56m (19.4%) at 8pm (271k/1.3%), while highlights of the Olivier Awards averaged 682k (5.3%) at 10.15pm (52k/0.8%).
Channel 4's Three in a Bed continued with 690k (3.3%) at 7pm (210k/0.9%), while Britain's Winter: Storm Heroes interested 860k (3.8%) at 8pm (175k/0.7%). Indian Summers followed with 790k (3.3%) at 9pm (233k/1.4%).
Spider-Man and Olympus Has Fallen were Channel 5's Sunday evening film selections, with the former bringing in 964k (4.5%) at 6.30pm and the latter entertaining 1.27m (6.5%) at 9pm.
