The Missing dropped to below 5 million when it went up against live football on Tuesday, overnight data reveals.
The BBC One drama lost around 800,000 viewers from last week, falling to 4.98 million on average (20.9%) at 9pm.
ITV's coverage of the Scotland vs England friendly scored 6.19m (26.8%) from 7.30pm.
On BBC Two, MasterChef: The Professionals continued with 2.66m (11.1%) at 8pm, followed by Secrets of the Castle with 1.24m (5.2%) at 9pm and The Walshes with 484k (2.7%) at 10pm.
Channel 4's Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners attracted 1.21m (5.0%) at 8pm (247k/1.0% on +1), followed by You Can't Get the Staff with 952k (4.0%) at 9pm (149k/0.9%) and Gogglebox with 1.04m (6.5%) at 10pm (170k/2.1%).
On Channel 5, Miracle Babies brought in 821k (3.4%) at 9pm.
ITV2's I'm a Celebrity... Now! entertained 973k (5.9%) at 9pm (105k/1.3%). On Dave, Storage Hunters UK amused 437k (1.8%) at 8pm and 519k (2.1%) at 8.30pm.
