The Apprentice bounces back to 6.1m on Wednesday

The Apprentice climbed back in the ratings on Wednesday, overnight data reveals.

Lord Alan Sugar's latest firing reclaimed over 200,000 viewers from last week, attracting 6.16 million (27.2%) on average at 9pm on BBC One. You're Fired gathered 2.27m (13.0%) at 10pm on BBC Two.

Earlier on BBC One, Passing Bells continued with 2.90m (15.4%) at 7pm.

BBC Two's Great Interior Design Challenge appealed to 1.57m (8.2%) at 7pm, followed by MasterChef: The Professionals with 2.46m (12.1%) at 8pm and The Great Continental Railway with 2.18m (9.6%) at 9pm.

On ITV, Surprise, Surprise entertained 3.11m (15.2%) at 8pm (163k/0.7% on +1). The first part of the Broadmoor documentary fascinated 2.48m (10.9%) at 9pm (327k/2.2%).

Channel 4's Supervet brought in 1.42m (7.0%) at 8pm (155k/0.7%), followed by Grand Designs with 1.21m (5.3%) at 9pm (232k/1.5%).

On Channel 5, Gibraltar: Britain in the Sun gathered 1.02m (5.0%) at 8pm, while Can't Pay? We'll Take It Away interested 1.33m (5.9%) at 9pm (159k/1.0%). Wentworth continued with 601k (3.9%) at 10pm.

ITVBe's The Only Way Is Essex attracted 455k (2.8%) for its latest episode at 10pm.

On BBC Three, People Like Us dipped to 152k (0.7%) at 9pm, while Sweat the Small Stuff fell to 210k (1.2%) at 10pm.
