The X Factor bounces back to 8.5m on Sunday night

The X Factor bounced back in the ratings on Sunday evening, overnight data reveals.

The ITV talent show's Boot Camp stage rose by around 200,000 viewers from last Sunday to 8.50 million (35.4%) on average at 8pm, with an added 467k (2.0%) watching on +1.

Downton Abbey dropped around 400k from last week's opener to 7.71m (33.5%) at 9pm (378k/2.5% on +1). Earlier, Sunday Night at the Palladium entertained 4.13m (21.0%) at 7pm (147k/0.6%).

On BBC One, Countryfile appealed to 5.32m (26.7%) at 7pm, followed by Antiques Roadshow with 4.68m (19.5%) at 8pm. Lacey Turner's Our Girl continued with 3.73m (16.0%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's Ryder Cup coverage scored 1.86m (8.0%) at 7.30pm, while a repeat of Mock the Week amused 985k (4.4%) at 9.30pm.

On Channel 4, Operation Maneater was seen by 644k (2.7%) at 8pm, followed by movie Magic Mike with 868k (4.7%) at 9pm (179k/1.7%).

Channel 5's broadcast of Gone in 60 Seconds thrilled 777k (4.2%) at 9pm (144k/1.3%).

On ITV2, The Xtra Factor attracted 453k (1.9%) at 9pm (138k/0.9%).
