BBC One's new drama In the Club topped the ratings outside soaps, overnight data reveals.
The new series from Kay Mellor launched with an average of 3.98 million (19.1%) at 9pm on Tuesday night.
On BBC Two, Coast was seen by 1.57m (7.9%) at 8pm, followed by The Secret History of Our Streets with 1.57m (7.6%) at 9pm.
ITV's Love Your Garden appealed to 3.39m (17.0%) at 8pm (149,000/0.7% on +1), while Kids Behind Bars intrigued 2.75m (13.3%) at 9pm (280k/0.7%).
On Channel 4, Fill Hour House for Free interested 1.08m (5.4%) at 8pm (162k/0.8%), followed by Undercover Boss with 1.10m (5.3%) at 9pm (234k/1.4%). Utopia dipped to 273k (1.7%) at 10pm.
Channel 5's Dog Rescuers attracted 979k (5.0%) at 8pm, while CSI thrilled 1.22m (5.9%) at 9pm (186k/1.1%). Big Brother continued with 1.09m (6.5%) at 10pm.
On MTV, Geordie Shore's latest episode entertained 473k (2.9%) at 10pm.
