'Have I Got News For You' continues Friday ratings success

Have I Got News For You once again topped Friday's primetime ratings, attracting an average audience of 4.42 million (20.6%) at 9pm on BBC One.

Hosted by comedian Jack Dee, this week's show peaked with 4.47 million viewers, making it Friday's highest-rated show outside of soaps.

The evening's entertainment began with 3.45 million (19.6%) for The One Show at 7pm, followed by 2.57 million (13.6%) for A Question of Sport at 7.30pm.

An average of 4.05 million (18.7%) viewers tuned in to watch Masterchef at 8.30pm, while an Outnumbered repeat was seen by 2.79 million (13.4%) at 9.30pm.

Approximately 3.22 million viewers (23.5%) stayed up to watch Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender appear on The Graham Norton Show at 10.35pm. 930k (9.9%) watched Bad Education immediately after.

ITV drama series Lewis was the channel's highest-rated show outside of soaps, attracting 2.86 million viewers (13.5%) at 9pm.

It edged out this week's episode of Weekend Escapes with Warwick Davis, which entertained an average of 2.65 million viewers (12.8%) at 8pm.

Regular programming was replaced by The Live World Snooker Championships on BBC Two. The sporting event, which aired from 7-9pm was seen by an average audience of 1.65 million (8.3%).

The evening continued with Natural World and The Trip to Italy, which attracted 1.83m (8.7%) and 880k (4.9%) viewers respectively.

Gogglebox once again proved a ratings success for Channel 4, entertaining 2.46 million (11.6%) at 9pm, followed by 1.49m (9%) for Alan Carr: Chatty Man at 10pm. Elsewhere, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD played to a slightly reduced audience of 980k (4.7%) at 8pm.

Channel 5's highest-rated show was NCIS with 954k (4.5%) at 9pm. It was preceded by 735k (3.5%) for Ice Road Trucker at 8pm and was followed by 658k (3.9%) for NCIS: Los Angeles at 10pm.

Family Guy once again proved popular on BBC Three, peaking with 634k (8.1%) for the 11.45pm episode.
