MasterChef dropped in the ratings but was still top outside of soaps on Wednesday, overnight data reveals.
BBC One's cooking series dipped by around 500,000 viewers to 4.6 million (21.3%) at 8pm. Panorama's special about care home scandals was seen by 2.9m (13.2%) at 9pm.
On BBC Two, the World Snooker Championship continued with 1.1m (5.5%) at 7pm, followed by Under Offer with 1.6m (7.2%) at 8pm and The Birth of Empire: The East India Company with 1.9m (8.9%) at 9pm.
ITV's Big Star's Little Star entertained 3.4m (15.8%) at 8pm (119k/0.5% on +1), while a rescheduled repeat of Law & Order: UK brought in 3.5m (16.0%) at 9pm (223k/1.4%).
On Channel 4, Secret Eaters intrigued 869k (4.0%) at 8pm (262k/1.2%), followed by How To Get a Council House with 1.4m (6.3%) at 9pm (371k/2.3%). Derek amused 1.1m (6.0%) at 10pm (169k/1.8%).
Channel 5's Killing Spree fascinated 690k (3.2%) at 8pm, followed by the latest NCIS with 1.1m (5.1%) at 9pm (170k/1.1%). Castle was seen by 643k (3.9%) at 10pm.
On BBC Three, Orphan Black returned with 213k (1.2%) at 10pm. E4's The Tomorrow People thrilled 337k (1.5%) at 9pm.
