The Great British Sewing Bee dips to 2.7m for finalé

The Great British Sewing Bee equalled last year's finale ratings on Tuesday (April 8), overnight figures reveal.

BBC Two's competition dipped by around 100,000 from last week but held steady with its first series finale, attracting 2.7 million (12.0%) at 8pm.

Earlier, Great British Menu cooked with 1.8m (8.6%) at 7.30pm, while Battle for Britain's Breakfast brought in 1.0m (4.6%) at 9pm.

On BBC One, Shetland dropped by around 500k to 4.3m at 9pm. Have I Got More News For You amused 2.3m (19.1%) at 10.35pm.

ITV's Champions League coverage of Chelsea's victory scored the best ratings outside of soaps, attracting 5.2m (23.1%) on average at 7.30pm.

On Channel 4, Kirstie's Best of Both Worlds concluded with 984k (4.3%) at 8pm (222k/1.0% on +1). New Worlds continued with 410k (1.9%) at 9pm.

Channel 5's Nightmare Neighbour Next Door interested 1.5m (6.7%) at 8pm (157k/0.7%), followed by Can't Pay? We'll Take It Away! with 1.5m (6.6%) at 9pm (157k/1.0%). The Mentalist thrilled 1.1m (6.5%) at 10pm.

On BBC Three, The Call Centre returned for a new series with 979k (4.3%) at 9pm. This is down from last year's launch of 1.05m. Sweat the Small Stuff also returned to 501k (2.8%) at 10pm, up from last year's opener of 427k.
