The Widower rises again to 5.5 million for finale on Monday

ITV's The Widower rose by over 300,000 viewers for its finale on Monday, according to overnight data.

Reece Shearsmith's drama topped the night outside of soaps with 5.50 million (22.7%) at 9pm (485k/3.0% on +1). Earlier, I Never Knew That About Britain intrigued 2.89m (12.5%) at 8pm (134k/0.5%).

On BBC One, Silk climbed by over 200k for its finale episode to 4.09m (16.9%) at 9pm. The Michael McIntyre Chat Show bounced back by over 200k to 1.99m (17.0%) at 10.35pm.

Earlier, Bang Goes the Theory fascinated 3.42m (16.2%) at 7.30pm, while Panorama was seen by 1.88m (8.1%) at 8.30pm.

BBC Two's University Challenge quizzed 3.17m (13.8%) at 8pm, followed by Mary Berry Cooks with 3.02m (13.0%) at 8.30pm. The Plantagenets interested 1.55m (6.4%) at 9pm, while Rev amused 1.46m (8.2%) at 10pm.

On Channel 4, Nigel Farage: Who Are You? interested 785k (3.5%) at 7.30pm (161k/0.7%). Shop Secrets gathered 1.02m (4.4%) at 8.30pm (102k/0.4%), followed by One Born Every Minute with 1.82m (7.5%) at 9pm. Our Gay Wedding: The Musical entertained 442k (2.8%) at 10pm.

Channel 5's Police Interceptors attracted 1.03m (4.4%) at 8pm. Conned, Fleeced and Left for Broke brought in 876k (5.2%) at 9pm (150k/0.9%), while The Disappearance of Flight MH370 was seen by 830k (5.2%) at 10pm.

BBC Three's Life and Death Row concluded with 743k (3.1%) at 9pm. On E4, My Mad Fat Diary ended with 444k (2.8%) at 10pm (106k/1.2%).
