Up against live football, the BBC One comedy dipped just slightly from last week - attracting 4.31 million (17.8%) at 9pm.
Later, a Mrs Brown's Boys repeat amused 3.93m (17.2%) at 9.30pm. A Question of Sport quizzed 2.05m (16.9%) at 10.35pm.
ITV's live coverage of England's friendly win over Denmark scored 5.52m (25.2%) at 7.30pm, topping the night overall.
On BBC Two, Permission Impossible gathered 1.10m (5.6%) at 7pm, followed by Restaurant Man with 1.26m (5.7%) at 8pm. Line of Duty climbed slightly to 2.34m (9.9%) at 9pm, while Inside No 9 entertained 720k (4.1%) at 10pm.
Channel 4's Restoration Man appealed to 1.24m (5.6%) at 8pm (153k/0.6% on +1). 24 Hours in A&E brought in 1.55m (6.6%) at 9pm (252k/1.6%), followed by First Dates with 844k (5.4%) at 10pm (133k/1.7%).
On Channel 5, documentary Left for Dead by the Yorkshire Ripper intrigued 1.13m (5.1%) at 8pm, followed by NCIS with 1.05m (4.4%) at 9pm (182k/1.1%).
BBC Three's Festivals, Sex & Suspicious Parents was seen by 380k (1.6%) at 9pm, while Ja'mie: Private School Girl tickled 421k (2.4%) at 10pm. BBC Four's Bombay Railway brought in 641k (2.9%) at 8pm.
On ITV2, The Only Way Is Essex entertained 635k (3.9%) at 10pm.
