Midsomer Murders' Killing and Borgen crossover attracts 5.5m

Midsomer Murders topped Wednesday evening's ratings, according to overnight data.

The ITV drama's crossover with The Killing and Borgen climbed to 5.52 million (22.3%) for its finale at 8pm (311,000/1.5% on +1).

On BBC One, Outnumbered dropped over 600k from last week to 4.19m (17.2%) at 9pm, followed by a repeat of Mrs Brown's Boys with 3.69m (16.0%) at 9.30pm.

BBC Two's Winter Olympics highlights scored 2.20m (9.6%) at 7pm, followed by Restaurant Man with 1.60m (6.9%) at 8pm.

Line of Duty returned for a new series with 1.75m (7.4%) at 9pm, while Inside No 9 amused 940k (4.8%) at 10pm.

On Channel 4, Restoration Man gathered 1.73m (7.4%) at 8pm (201k/0.8%), followed by 24 Hours in A&E with 1.96m (8.3%) at 9pm (281k/1.6%). First Dates returned with 841k (4.9%) at 10pm.

Channel 5's Ultimate Emergency Bikers appealed to 1.01m (4.3%) at 8pm, while NCIS excited 858k (3.6%) at 9pm (158k/0.9%). New crime drama Suspects interested 836k (4.7%) at 10pm.
