Death in Paradise tops Tuesday ratings with 6.6 million

Death in Paradise continued its Tuesday ratings dominance by topping the night outside of soaps, overnight data reveals.

The BBC One crime drama rose by nearly 100,000 viewers from last week to 6.64 million (28.8%) at 9pm.

On BBC Two, The Great Interior Design Challenge semi-final was seen by 1.92m (8.8%) at 7pm, followed by Children's Emergency Rescue with 1.66m (7.4%) at 8pm. Inside the Animal Mind gathered 1.40m (6.1%) at 9pm, while House of Fools dipped to 665k (3.6%) at 10pm.

ITV's Celebrity Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? quizzed 2.98m (13.2%) at 8pm (140k/0.6% on +1). New series Births, Deaths & Marriages interested 2.25m (9.7%) at 9pm (258k/1.6%).

On Channel 4, Location, Location, Location brought in 2.00m (8.9%) at 8pm (203k/0.9%), followed by The Taste with 732k (3.2%) at 9pm. Secrets of the Pickpockets intrigued 983k (5.9%) at 10pm (124k/1.4%).

Channel 5's Gibraltar: Britain in the Sun was seen by 1.02m (4.5%) at 8pm. Meanwhile, documentary She's 78, He's 39: Age Gap Love fascinated 1.63m (7.0%) at 9pm (198k/1.2%).

On BBC Three, Tough Young Teachers interested 429k (1.9%) at 8pm, while Sun, Sex & Suspicious Parents gathered 711k (3.1%) at 9pm.

On Sky1, Ross Kemp's Extreme World continued with 374k (1.6%) at 9pm.
