Call the Midwife stays strong with 9.2 million on Sunday

Call the Midwife continued its impressive Sunday ratings on BBC One, according to overnight data.

The period drama dipped by nearly 400,000 viewers from last week's opener, but still easily won the night with 9.26 million (33.8%) at 8pm.

Earlier, Countryfile was seen by 6.77m (27.7%) at 7pm, while The Musketeers tumbled by 1.4m to 6.01m (23.1%) at 9pm.

ITV's Dancing On Ice continued with 5.79m (22.6%) at 6.15pm (174k/0.7% on +1), while the results show brought in 4.63m (16.6%) at 8.30pm (211k/0.8%).

Mr Selfridge dropped by over 200k to 4.60m (16.6%) at 9pm (428k/2.5%). Earlier, All Star Family Fortunes entertained 4.48m (17.1%) at 7.45pm (162k/0.6%).

Channel 4's new series The Jump opened to 2.30m (8.4%) at 8pm (336k/1.3%).

On Channel 5, Celebrity Big Brother's surprise eviction gathered a high 2.72m (10.7%) at 9pm (348k/2.2%).

BBC Two's Dragons' Den returned from its break to 2.34m (9.0%) at 9pm, while Simon Reeve's Coffee Trail interested 1.83m (6.7%) at 8pm.
