Birds of a Feather's second episode stays strong for ITV

Birds of a Feather continued to top the Thursday ratings outside of soaps, overnight data reveals.

The ITV sitcom dropped over 700,000 viewers from last week's opener to 6.77 million (28.4%) at 8.30pm, with a further 133k (0.5%) watching on +1.

Benidorm also dipped by 700k from last week to 5.29m (21.3%) at 9pm (472k/2.7% on +1).

On BBC One, the David Tennant-narrated Dolphins - Spy in the Pod fell by over a million from last week to 3.56m (15.1%) at 8pm. Silent Witness was down by nearly a million to 5.26m (21.2%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's Great British Garden Revival attracted 1.60m (7.2%) at 7pm. Stargazing Live continued with 2.53m (10.7%) at 8pm, while Back To Earth brought in 1.73m (6.9%) at 9pm.

Charlie Brooker's latest series of Weekly Wipe began with 1.18m (6.1%) at 10pm. A repeat of QI amused 1.31m (5.3%) at 9.30pm.

On Channel 4, Supersize vs Superskinny launched a new series with 1.44m (6.1%) at 8pm (188k/0.8%). The Undateables also returned with 2.00m (8.0%) at 9pm (472k/2.7%). New series What Happens in Sunny Beach gathered 925k (5.4%) at 10pm (229k/2.4%).

Channel 5's World's Worst Holiday Horrors brought in 975k (4.1%) at 8pm. Celebrity Big Brother continued with 1.97m (7.9%) at 9pm (373k/2.1%), while Botched Up Bodies interested 1.28m (7.4%) at 10pm (134k/1.4%).

On BBC Three, new series Tough Young Teachers began with 743k (3.0%) at 9pm.

I caught this and wasn't impressed. I predict a steady, but noticeable, decline of viewers as the series progresses.

I also caught Benidorm. - Never again. Absolute tripe that has passed its 'use by date'.
