Last Tango in Halifax climbed to a new peak this series on BBC One on Tuesday, early figures show.
The romantic drama gained over 300,000 viewers from last week, climbing to 6.30 million (27.6%) at 9pm. Last week, it was up against England's match against Germany on ITV.
This week on ITV, Arsenal's Champions League win over Marseille scored 3.41m (14.9%) on average at 7.30pm.
BBC Two's Celebrity Antiques Road Trip appealed to 2.20m (10.1%) at 7pm, followed by MasterChef: The Professionals with 3.25m (14.1%) at 8pm.
Strange Days - Cold War Britain intrigued 1.10m (4.8%) at 9pm, while Hebburn amused 1.00m (5.6%) at 10pm.
On Channel 4, Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners fascinated 1.82m (7.9%) at 8pm (342k/1.5% on +1). The Sound of Musicals was seen by 936k (4.1%) at 9pm (141k/0.9%), followed by the latest Masters of Sex with 544k (3.5%) at 10pm.
Channel 5's Cowboy Builders attracted 743k (3.2%) at 8pm. The Mentalist thrilled 1.11m (4.8%) at 9pm (109k/0.7%), while Castle gathered 781k (4.7%) at 10pm.
On BBC Three, Snow, Sex and Suspicious Parents entertained 776k (3.4%) at 9pm. Sweat the Small Stuff interested 466k (2.6%) at 10pm.
ITV2's latest episode of The Vampire Diaries was seen by 395k (1.7%) at 9pm, followed by I'm a Celebrity... Now! with 875k (5.3%) at 10pm.
