'Made in Chelsea' series six premiere attracts 530,000

Made in Chelsea's return attracted lower ratings than its previous series on Monday, according to overnight data.

The E4 series brought in 537,000 (3.2%) at 10pm, with an added 167k (1.9%) on +1. This is over 100k less than series five's launch earlier this year, but around 150k more than its finale in June.

ITV's Doc Martin came out on top overall outside of soaps, but lost 600k viewers from last week, bringing in 6.71m (27.5%) at 9pm (342k/2.0% on +1).

BBC One's Madeleine McCann special of Crimewatch was seen by 6.69m (27.4%) at 9pm.

On BBC Two, University Challenge quizzed 3.00m (12.7%) at 8pm. Stephen Fry's Out There interested 865k (3.5%) at 9pm, while Never Mind the Buzzcocks amused 1.06m (5.6%) at 10pm.

Channel 4's Dogs: Their Secret Life appealed to 2.23m (9.3%) at 8pm (326k/1.3%), followed by 999 with 966k (4.0%) at 9pm (378k/2.2%).

On Channel 5, The Gadget Show returned to 729k (3.0%) at 8pm. On Benefits and Proud was seen by 1.77m (7.2%) at 9pm (314k/1.9%). The latest Under the Dome gathered 1.03m (6.1%) at 10pm (139k/1.6%).
