'Doc Martin' rises to top Monday ratings for ITV

Doc Martin topped the Monday ratings once again outside of soaps, according to overnight figures.

Martin Clunes' ITV drama gained around 250,000 viewers from last week with 7.33 million (32.7%) at 9pm (249k/1.6% on +1).

On BBC One, Panorama interested 2.39m (10.3%) at 8.30pm, followed by Motorway Cops with 2.78m (12.4%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's University Challenge quizzed 2.81m (12.4%) at 8pm, while Tom Kerridge's Proper Pub Food cooked up 2.24m (9.7%) at 8.30pm.

The Midwives continued with 1.38m (6.1%) at 9pm, followed by the premiere of Never Mind the Buzzcocks with 1.11m (6.2%) at 10pm.

On Channel 4, Jamie's Money Saving Meals appealed to 1.25m (5.5%) at 8pm (168k/0.8%). Richard Ayoade's Gadget Man educated 959k (4.1%) at 8.30pm (191k/0.8%).

Fried Chicken Shop held steady with last week at 1.10m (4.9%) at 9pm (163k/1.0%). Brothel documentary Sex: My British Life appealed to 1.26m (8.7%) at 10pm (210k/2.9%).

Channel 5's Phoebe Prince documentary Bullied To Death was seen by 645k (2.9%) at 9pm, followed by the latest Under the Dome with 959k (5.9%) at 10pm.

BBC Four's Lucy Worsley series A Very British Murder topped the multichannels with 827k (3.7%) at 9pm. ITV's new series of Peter Andre: My Life opened with 646k (2.9%) at 9pm.
