Ratings: 'Celebrity Big Brother' up to 1.7m on Monday night

Celebrity Big Brother bounced back in the ratings on Bank Holiday Monday, according to overnight figures.

The latest episode rose by 300,000 viewers to 1.72 million (8.1%) at 9pm on Channel 5 (216k/1.3% on +1). Bit on the Side gathered 636k (6.7%) at 11pm.

Under the Dome's second episode dropped 600k from last week to 1.26m (7.4%) at 10pm (129k/1.4%).

On BBC One, Fake Britain topped the night outside of soaps and news with 3.23m (15.1%) at 7.30pm. Fight Back Britain gathered 2.23m (9.8%) at 8.30pm. Ultimate Swarms interested 2.94m (13.8%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's Only Connect special quizzed 1.12m (5.2%) at 7.30pm. University Challenge followed with 2.37m (10.5%) at 8pm.

On ITV, You've Been Framed amused 2.22m (9.8%) at 8pm (133k/0.6%). The Bourne Identity thrilled 2.09m (11.2%) at 9pm (122k/1.0%).

Channel 4's Benefits Britain 1949 continued with 1.67m (7.8%) at 9pm (217k/1.3%). Gordon Ramsay's Hotel Hell entertained 923k (5.5%) at 10pm (178k/1.9%).

No mention there of Attack of the Zeppelins which was viewed by 1.38 million at 8.00pm on Channel 4 but repeated many times since then on various channels.

The Buckingham incendiary round features in the programme was actually made in Coventry in a car factory which nestled between Spon Street and Dover Street. The site is now covered by Ringway Rudge.
