The Great British Bake Off returned to decent ratings for BBC Two on Tuesday (August 20), overnight data reveals.
The competition series attracted 5.60 million (26.2%) at 8pm. This is lower than the previous series finale, but up nearly 2 million from last August's launch episode.
BBC One's New Tricks topped the night overall once again, but was down by 400,000 to 6.49m (29.4%) at 9pm.
On ITV, Nature's Newborns interested 2.34m (12.7%) at 7.30pm, while a repeat of Lewis appealed to 1.77m (8.2%) at 8pm (149k/0.8% on +1).
Channel 4's new series opener of Top Boy brought in 1.01m (6.4%) at 9pm (214k/1.3%). Double Your House for Half the Money was seen by 1.19m (5.6%) at 8pm (205k/0.9%).
On Channel 5, CSI: NY thrilled 1.11m (5.0%) at 9pm (273k/1.7%). 9/11: Crime Scene Investigators gathered 877k (5.5%) at 10pm.
BBC Three's Don't Tell the Bride returned for a new series with 847k (3.8%) at 9pm.
