Ratings: 'Law & Order: UK' drops 300k for second episode

Law & Order: UK was one of the most-watched shows on Sunday (July 21), according to overnight figures.

The ITV crime drama lost over 300,000 viewers from last week's premiere to 4.28 million viewers (19.2%) at 9pm. A further 370k (2.2%) tuned in on +1.

Earlier, Tipping Point quizzed 3.23m (18.0%) at 7pm (127k/0.6% on +1). All-Star Mr & Mrs entertained 3.38m (15.0%) at 8pm (169k/0.8%).

BBC One's Countryfile was the top show of the night with 4.52m (20.1%) at 8pm. The White Queen's latest episode was down slightly to 3.51m (15.8%) at 9pm.

On BBC Two, Top Gear enjoyed a small rise from last week to 4.15m (18.5%) at 8pm. Wild Cameramen At Work interested 1.26m (6.7%) at 7.30pm, while The Secret Life of Uri Geller amazed 1.41m (6.3%) at 9pm.

Channel 4 documentary The Plane that Saved Britain appealed to 1.02m (4.6%) at 8pm (360k/1.6%), followed by the latest episode of The Returned with 932k (4.1%) at 9pm (156k/0.9%).

On Channel 5, Once Upon a Time continued with 739k (3.3%) at 8pm (115k/0.5%). Big Brother attracted 1.50m (6.8%) at 9pm (179k/1.1%).

On BBC Three, the new series of Family Guy was the most-watched show on the multichannels, amusing 1.36m (7.1%) at 10pm and 1.30m (8.1%) at 10.30pm.

Please note that The Plane That Saved Britian is repeated on 4seven this evening at 8.00pm.

I caught this programme, and whilst I don't really agree with the title, I will admit to finding it an enjoyable programme. The Mossie was (and is) an icon.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

I missed the first two showings on Sunday Rebbonk, despite flicking through the channels around that time desperately searching for something like that. I did manage to catch up with Monday night's broadcast but I'm afraid that even as a fan of the Mosquito I wasn't impressed by the programme at all. It didn't tell me anything about the plane I didn't know already and discussion of facts was discarded in favour of personal sentimentality.

Yesterday on the other hand were showing a documentary at 9.00pm about the Eighth US Air Force in Britain called " American Invasion" narrated by Michael Brandon which in my opinion was vastly superior.
