'Secrets from the Workhouse' opens to over 3 million on ITV

Secrets from the Workhouse opened to decent ratings on Tuesday evening, according to overnight figures.

The first of a two-part documentary featuring the likes of Fern Britton and Brian Cox was seen by 3.10 million viewers (14.1%) at 9pm on ITV, with a further 321,000 tuning in on +1.

Alan Titchmarsh's new show Love Your Garden launched to 2.98m (14.5%) at 8pm (152k/0.7% on +1). Earlier, Nature's Newborns brought in 2.42m (12.7%) at 7.30pm.

On BBC One, Life Savers concluded with 2.77m (12.6%) at 9pm. The One Show entertained 3.23m (18.4%) at 7pm.

BBC Two's Today at Wimbledon scored 1.65m (8.0%) at 8pm, followed by Route Masters: Running London's Roads with 1.79m (8.2%) at 9pm.

On Channel 4, Something for Nothing attracted 789k (3.8%) at 8pm, while Child Genius interested 1.34m (6.1%) at 9pm (230k/1.4%). The latest episode of Dates fell to 782k (4.3%) at 10pm.

Channel 5's Gibraltar: Britain in the Sun secured 1.17m (5.7%) at 8pm. The latest CSI entertained 1.67m (7.6%) at 9.15pm, while Big Brother continued with 1.26m (7.5%) at 10pm.

BBC Three documentary series The Call Centre dipped slightly to 854k (3.9%) at 9pm. BBC Four's The World's Most Beautiful Eggs: The Genius of Carl Faberge educated 798k (3.6%) at 9pm.

I caught this and suspect it would be an eye opener to many of today's youngsters.

Not often I like much on TV, but this one gets :thumbsup:
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
