Sunday ratings: 'White Queen' drops nearly 900k viewers

The White Queen dropped nearly 900,000 viewers for its second episode on Sunday, according to overnight figures.

The War of the Roses drama was still one of the most-watched shows of the night, attracting 4.48 million (18.5%) at 9pm on BBC One.

Earlier, Countryfile scored the biggest ratings of the evening with 5.58m (25.9%) at 7pm, followed by the final Antiques Roadshow of the series with 4.58m (19.2%) at 8pm.

Andy Murray documentary The Man Behind the Racquet brought in 2.57m (18.8%) at 10.30pm, ahead of Wimbledon's launch today (June 24).

On BBC Two, tennis profile Venus and Serena was seen by 723k (3.3%) at 7pm. Kate Humble's new series Secret Life of the Sun interested 1.37m (5.7%) at 8pm, followed by Rise of the Continents with 1.68m (6.9%) at 9pm.

ITV's Miss Marple gained back nearly 300k viewers from last week with 4.13m (17.1%) at 8pm, with a further 278k (1.3%) on +1. Earlier, Tipping Point quizzed 3.31m (15.4%) at 7pm (222k/0.9% on +1).

On Channel 4, the latest episode of The Returned grabbed 867k (3.6%) at 9pm (232k/1.3%). Terror in The Skies brought in 939k (3.9%) at 8pm (239k/1.0%).

Channel 5's Big Brother entertained 1.36m (5.6%) at 9pm (214k/1.2%), while Once Upon a Time continued with 680k (2.8%) at 8pm.

BBC Three's coverage of the Confederations Cup scored 1.28m (5.8%) at 7.30pm.

On ITV2, the latest Only Way is Essex attracted 902k (5.0%) at 10pm (120k/1.2%).
