Ratings: 'The Apprentice' bounces back on Wednesday night

The Apprentice bounced back in the ratings on Wednesday night for BBC One, according to overnight figures.

Lord Alan Sugar's latest firing regained 600,000 viewers from last week - when it was moved back to Tuesday - attracting 5.96 million (25.5%) at 9pm. You're Fired! climbed to a new series peak of 2.27m (11.8%) at 10pm on BBC Two.

Earlier, Watchdog was seen by 3.80m (19.0%) at 8pm, while A Question of Sport quizzed 2.01m (15.0%) at 10.35pm.

On BBC Two, Springwatch brought in 1.81m (9.5%) at 7.30pm, followed by Springwatch Unsprung with 2m (9.7%) at 8pm. The Iraq War documentary series continued with 745k (3.2%) at 9pm.

ITV's All Star Mr & Mrs entertained 3.59m (18.0%) at 8pm, with a further 164k (0.7%) watching on +1.

Alison Steadman's new comedy drama Love and Marriage debuted with a decent 4.49m (19.3%) at 9pm (275k/1.7% on +1).

On Channel 4, Location, Location, Location continued with 1.13m (5.6%) at 8pm, followed by D-Day: As It Happens with 864k (3.7%) at 9pm. 10 O'Clock Live fell to 607k (3.5%) at 10pm.

Channel 5's D-Day: The Ultimate Conflict brought in 729k (3.9%) at 7pm. NCIS continued with 1.48m (6.3%) at 9pm.

On ITV2, The Only Way is Marbs was the highest-rated multichannel show with 872k (4.9%) at 10pm (162k/1.8%), dipping over 100k from its premiere.
