The Apprentice gained back over 400,000 viewers for its third episode on BBC One last night, according to overnight figures.
Lord Alan Sugar's latest challenge - in which Sophie Lau became the third apprentice to be fired after a flat-pack task disaster - bounced back from last week's dip in the ratings, topping the night outside of soaps with 5.67 million viewers (23.2%) at 9pm.
Earlier, Watchdog was seen by 4.21m (23.2%) at 8pm.
On BBC Two, Auction Hero brought in 986k (4.5%) at 8pm, followed by Bankers with 600k (2.5%) at 9pm. The Apprentice: You're Fired secured 1.91m (10.0%) at 10pm.
ITV's coverage of Chelsea's Europa League triumph against Benfica scored 5.32m (24.4%) from 7.15pm.
Channel 4's Location, Location, Location returned for a new series with 1.47m (6.8%) at 8pm (155k/0.6% on +1).
24 Hours in A&E was seen by 2.19m (9.0%) at 9pm (453k/2.7%), while 10 O'Clock Live amused 702k (4.2%) at 10pm (236k/2.8%).
On Channel 5, Emergency Bikers attracted 1.01m (4.7%) at 8pm, with NCIS entertaining 1.43m (5.8%) at 9pm.
ITV2's repeat of Benidorm tickled 602k (2.5%) at 9.30pm, while a rerun of Midsomer Murders brought in 940k (4.1%) at 7.55pm on ITV3.
