'Food Glorious Food' ends with over 2 million viewers on ITV

Food Glorious Food ended its nine-episode run with over 2 million viewers on Wednesday evening, overnight data suggests.

Simon Cowell's culinary programme fronted by Carol Vorderman rose from last week to 2.15m (9.8%) on ITV at 8pm, with a further 158,000 (0.7%) on +1.

Scott & Bailey was the most-watched show outside of soaps, climbing from its last episode to 4.89m (21.7%) at 9pm (276k/1.8% on +1).

BBC One's MasterChef entered the semi-final stages, entertaining 4.76m (21.7%) at 8pm. Grizzly bear documentary Great Bear Stakeout attracted 3.59m (16.0%) at 9pm.

On BBC Two, Coast brought in 2.09m (9.5%) at 8pm, while South Africa documentary This World achieved 564k (2.5%) at 9pm.

Channel 4's Phil Spencer: Secret Agent was seen by 1.32m (6.0%) at 8pm (183k/0.8% on +1). 24 Hours in A&E grabbed 2.28m (10.1%) at 9pm (370k/2.4%).

10 O'Clock Live returned for a new series, with 765k (4.9%) tuning in at 10pm. A further 155k (2.0%) watched on +1.

On Channel 5, Emergency Bikers attracted 1.31m (6.0%) at 8pm. NCIS thrilled 1.15m (5.1%) at 9pm (173k/1.1 on +1), followed by Law & Order:SVU with 679k (4.3%) at 10pm.

BBC Three's road-traffic collision documentary License To Kill was seen by 362k (1.6%) at 9pm. Family Guy scored 628k (6.7%) at 11pm. ITV2's Benidorm amused 637k (2.8%) at 9pm (193k/1.2 on +1).

I watched Episode 1 of "Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?" on BBC4 myself, on an old black & white TV. The barometer gag still cracked me up.
