Jonathan Creek beats Broadchurch in Monday night ratings...
Jonathan Creek returned to BBC One on Easter Monday (April 1) with impressive ratings and beat ITV's Broadchurch in a head-to-head detective drama battle.
The new episode of the Alan Davies murder mystery series, 'The Clue of the Savant's Thumb', pulled in 7 million (27.5%) at 9pm on BBC One.
Earlier, a repeat of Miranda took 4.08 million (15.4%) at 8.30pm.
ITV's Broadchurch was dented by Creek's return, but still brought in an impressive 6.01 million (22.3%) at 9pm. It also has 280k (1.44%) watching on +1.
BBC Two pulled in 2.19 million (8.2%) at 8.30pm for the new episode of Paul Hollywood's Bread, while University Challenge had 2.97 million (11.5%) at 8pm.
Easter Eggs Live had 912k (3.5%) at 8pm on Channel 4, while Embarrassing Bodies entertained 1.58 million (5.8%) at 9pm.
Bermuda Triangle: The Mystery Revealed had 1.21 million (4.8%) at 8pm on Channel 5. Robson's Extreme Fishing Challenge aired at 9pm and reeled in 956k (3.5%).
The third season of Game of Thrones launched with 658k (2.5%) at 9pm on Sky Atlantic. Meanwhile, 557k (2.1%) tuned in for the latest Arrow at 8pm on Sky1.
ITV2's new comedy Plebs had 591k (2.6%) at 10pm.
