Anton Murphy's eviction from the Big Brother House brought in steady viewing figures for Channel 5 in what was a good overall showing from the broadcaster.
In figures almost identical to last week - when Aden Theobald got the boot - the 9pm show averaged 1.6m (6.6%). Some 1.25m (9.3%) stayed on to watch the exit interview.
Big Brother's Bit On The Side, during which Anton claimed that Aaron has fooled his way to victory, grabbed a further 580k (6.4%).
The other shows in Channel 5's primetime lineup improved considerably. The return of
Ice Road Truckers brought in 1.51m (6.4%), and Gavin Henson's
The Bachelor upped its game to 1.29m (6.9%)
Their performances meant the broadcaster overtook Channel 4, for whom the new series of
Pete Versus Life disappointed with 680k (3.4%). Earlier, the stalwart
Come Dine With Me entertained 1.28m (5.4%), with 146k (0.6%) of the show's fans catching up on +1.
Derren Brown followed with 1.8m (7.4%) and an extra 275k (1.5%) on timeshift.
On ITV1,
Wild Britain with Ray Mears took 2.82m (12%) between episodes of
Coronation Street, and
DCI Banks rounded off the evening with 4.64m (19%) and a healthy +1 score of 222k (1.2%).
BBC One's
Celebrity Masterchef nabbed 2.68m (11.2%) before a comedy double bill of
Have I Got News For You and
Would I Lie To You? tickled 4.5m (18%) and 3.8m (15.9%) respectively.
The sedate pace of
Gardeners World relaxed 2.02m (8.6%) on BBC Two.
Autumnwatch Live and
Autumnwatch Unsprung then followed with 2.09m (8.6%) and 1.53m (6.4%).
On the multichannels,
An Idiot Abroad scored 1.09m (4.5%) for Sky1, once again beating ITV2's
X Factor USA. The Cowell show garnered 829k (3.8%) for an episode which saw the top 16 (or rather 17) revealed.
Overall, ITV won primetime with 21.6%, followed by BBC One and BBC Two with 19.7% and 7.1%. In a reversal of Friday night protocol, Channel 5 pipped Channel 4 with 5.3% to 5.2%.
