JK Rowling's Who Do You Think You Are? pulled in an audience of more than 6 million for BBC One, overnight figures have revealed.
Last night's episode of the genealogy show, based around the Harry Potter author's family history, attracted an average of 6.13m (26.7%) between 9pm and 10pm, making it the most-watched programme of the evening.
Earlier on BBC One, Village SOS grabbed 3.46m (16.8%).
ITV's The Unforgettable picked up 2.94m (15.8%) between 7.30pm and 8pm (102k +1), before Lewis had a healthy audience of 2.85m (13.1%) with another 194k on +1.
Channel 4's evening was dominated by the premiere of Twilight, which wooed 2.18m (10.8%) for the broadcaster. It earned another 405k (2.1%) on +1.
Elsewhere, Channel 5's Croc Man appealed to 828k (4.03%) in the 8pm slot, before an edition of NCIS at 9pm captured 992k (4.32%).
Beaver Falls continued to underwhelm with 246k (1.1%) on E4 at 9pm, although it did pick up an extra 153k on +1.
A repeat of Benidorm on ITV2 was the multichannel ratings winner of the night, amusing 858k (3.7%) on ITV2 in the 9pm slot.
BBC One won primetime with 21.77%, ahead of ITV1's 14.38% (+1 0.8%), Channel 4's 7.91% (+1 1.4%), BBC Two's 7.24% and Channel 5's 3.61%.
