Tom Hardy's guest appearance on Paul O'Grady's For the Love of the Dogs was enough to top the ratings outside soaps on Thursday for ITV.
The show appealed to an average overnight audience of 4.25 million (19.9%) at 8pm (250,000/1.3% on +1). Later, Unforgotten continued with 3.58m (18.2%) at 9pm (220k/1.5%).
On BBC One, Watchdog intrigued 3.40m (16.2%) at 8pm, followed the final Class of 92: Out of Their League with 2.90m (14.6%) at 9pm.
BBC Two's Autumnwatch brought in 2.20m (10.5%) at 8pm, while The Last Kingdom thrilled 1.58m (8.0%) at 9pm. Russell Howard's Good News tickled 957k (5.6%) at 10pm.
On Channel 4, Amazing Spaces wowed 1.43m (6.8%) at 8pm (213k/1.1%), followed by Kitchen Impossible with 1.06m (5.4%) at 9pm (122k/0.8%) and First Dates with 1.14m (7.7%) at 10pm (117k/1.5%).
Channel 5's Extreme Railways interested 1.32m (6.7%) at 9pm (121k/0.8%).
On E4, The Big Bang Theory amused 1.39m (6.6%) at 8.30pm (261k/1.3%). ITV2's Celebrity Juice entertained 649k (4.1%) at 10pm, and Sky1's Supergirl continued with 386k (1.8%) at 8pm.
