The Apprentice remained on top of the ratings outside soaps on Wednesday, but lost around 500,000 viewers from last week.
Lord Alan Sugar's latest pet show-related firing attracted an average overnight audience of 5.59 million (25.8%) at 9pm on BBC One. You're Fired followed with 1.75m (10.1%) at 10pm on BBC Two.
BBC One's new cop drama Cuffs debuted with a decent 4.22m (20.5%) at 8pm.
On ITV, All-Star Mr & Mrs entertained 2.87m (14.0%) at 8pm, followed by Land of the Midnight Sun with 2.52m (11.7%) at 9pm (123k/0.8% on +1).
Channel 4's Grand Designs brought in 1.69m (7.8%) at 9pm (153k/1.0%), while Can't Pay? We'll Take It Away! attracted 1.24m (5.7%) in the same slot (148k/1.0%) on Channel 5.
On Sky1, Arrow continued with 312k (1.5%) at 8pm, while The Affair returned with 103k (0.5%) at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
ITVBe's latest episode of TOWIE appealed to 366k (2.3%) at 10pm.
