Lord Alan Sugar's return for the 11th series of The Apprentice wasn't the most-watched programme on Wednesday night, as the power of Prince William and Prince Harry proved too mighty.
The Apprentice attracted an average overnight audience of 6.35 million (29.2%) at 9pm on BBC One, which is down around 300,000 from last year's opener. However, it's up by 300k from 2013. BBC Two's new-look You're Fired! brought in 1.87m (10.6%) at 10pm.
The biggest hit of the night was a special DIY SOS featuring the two princes, as 7.00m (33.1%) tuned in at 8pm.
On ITV, All-Star Mr & Mrs entertained 2.75m (12.9%) at 8pm (171k/0.8% on +1), followed by Land of the Midnight Sun with 2.65m (12.3%) at 9pm (177k/1.2%).
Channel 4's Grand Designs appealed to 1.97m (9.1%) at 9pm (240k/1.5%), while Channel 5's Can't Pay? We'll Take It Away attracted 1.33m (6.1%) at 9pm (129k/0.8%).
On Sky1, Arrow continued with 404k (1.9%) at 8pm, followed by You, Me and the Apocalypse with 227k (1.0%) at 9pm.
