The Great British Bake Off powers on with 9.6m on Wednesday

The Great British Bake Off kept up its remarkable performance in the ratings with Dessert Week on Wednesday (August 26).

According to overnight data, 9.57m (43.0%) tuned in to see how the bakers fared with Crème brûlées and other sweet treats at 8pm - a slight dip on last week. Later, Britain's Spending Secrets intrigued 4.74m (23.9%) at 9pm.

On BBC Two, Horizon appealed to 720k (3.2%) at 8pm, and The World's Busiest Railway 2015 continued with 1.64m (8.3%) at 9pm.

Foyle's War brought in 2.08m (9.9%) for ITV between 8pm and 10pm, with a further 192,100 (1.1%) watching an hour later on +1.

Channel 4's Posh Pawn was watched by 1.0m (4.5%) at 8pm (165k/0.8% on +1), before One Born Every Minute warmed the hearts of 1.20m (6.1%) at 9pm (224k/1.5%).

On Channel 5, Nightmare Neighbour Next Door interested 1.07m (4.8%) at 8pm (109k/0.5%), while Undercover Benefits Cheat averaged 1.15m (5.8%) at 9pm (77k/0.5%). Wentworth Prison followed with 589k (4.0%) at 10pm (18k/0.2%).

Meanwhile, Sky 1's The Force: Manchester gathered 214k (1.4%) at 10pm.
