David Walliams and Jessica Raine's Partners in Crime debuted to big ratings, according to overnight figures for Sunday (July 26).
The new BBC One series brought in 6.46m viewers and a 29% audience share at 9pm. Earlier, Countryfile continued with 6.19m (31.7%) at 7pm, while Fake or Fortune? interested 4.94m (22.9%) at 8pm.
BBC Two's Dragon's Den averaged 2.40m (11.2%) at 8pm, and Odyssey gathered 990k (4.4%) at 9pm.
Meet the Penguins was watched by 1.42m (7.4%) on ITV at 7pm (92k/0.4% on +1), before Surprise Surprise warmed the hearts of 3.25m (15.2%) at 8pm (168k/0.8% on +1), and Joanna Lumley's Trans-Siberian Adventure concluded with 3.09m (13.8%) at 9pm (325k/2.1%).
Over on Channel 4, the penultimate episode of Humans dipped to 1.86m (8.3%) at 9pm, with a further 487,000 (3.2%) tuning in an hour later on +1.
Channel 5's Police Interceptors: Unleashed thrilled 569k (2.7%) at 8pm (71k/0.3%), while Resident Evil: Retribution kept 536k (2.7%) glued to their screens from 9pm (125k/1.0%).
Meanwhile, BBC Three's film selection, Meet the Fockers, proved popular with 789k (4.1%) at 9pm.
