Celebrity MasterChef heats up with 4.06m viewers on Friday

Celebrity Masterchef is really starting to heat up, as the latest episode peaked with 4.63 million (25.2%) viewers on BBC One.

As we close in on the final, the cooking competition drew an average audience of 4.06 million (21.8%) between 8.30pm and 10pm.

BBC One's evening kicked off with 2.86 million (17.2%) for The One Show at 7pm, followed by 2.37 million (13.3%) for A Question of Sport.

Room 101 - Extra Storage drew 2.16 million (17.4%) at 10.35pm, followed by 1.11 million (17.5%) for Pretty Woman at 11.15pm.

One channel over, the First Night of the Proms played to 800k (4.3%) at 8pm, while The Perfect Morecambe & Wise followed with 640k (3.9%) immediately after.

With 2.53 million viewers (14.2%), Gino's Italian Escape: A Taste of the Sun was ITV's highest-rated show outside of soaps at 8pm, followed by 2.17 million (11.8%) for Doc Martin at 9pm.

Over on Channel 4, Location, Location, Location was seen by 970k (5.2%) at 8pm, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown entertained 1.25 million (6.8%) at 9pm, while The Last Leg continued with 1.13 million (7.6%) at 10pm.

20 Moments That Rocked Talent Shows attempted to fill the void left by a lack of Big Brother on Channel 5, and was seen by an average audience of 805k (4.5%) at 9pm.

It was followed by 395k (2.8%) for Lip Sync Battle: The Rock v Jimmy Fallon at 10.30pm.

BBC Four's Rock 'N' Roll America was among the highest-rated multichannel shows, attracting 931k (5.1%) viewers at 9pm.
