Vicious concludes with 2.1m on ITV on Monday

Vicious lost just short of 1 million viewers over the course of its second series, according to overnight data for Monday (July 6).

Sir Ian McKellen's and Sir Derek Jacobi's ITV sitcom brought in 2.06m (10.0%) for its final episode at 9pm, with a further 129k (0.7%) watching on +1.

That figure is around 930,000 less than the first episode attracted in June, and approximately 710,000 fewer viewers watched in comparison to the series one finale.

Elsewhere on ITV, Vet School appealed to 2.19m (10.4%) at 8pm (244k/1.2% on +1), while It's a Funny Old Week amused 1.02m (5.0%) at 9.30pm (119k/0.9%).

On BBC One, Nigel Slater: Eating Together continued with 2.62m (12.9%) at 7.30pm, before Panorama interested 2.12m (9.7%) at 8.30pm, and The Met: Policing London topped the ratings outside of soaps with 4.11m (20.2%) for its final episode at 9pm.

BBC Two's revamped Wimbledon 2day averaged 2.18m (10.8%) at 9pm, while Episodes entertained 1.10m (6.2%) at 10pm.

Channel 4's How to Get a Council House intrigued 1.76m (8.7%) at 9pm (312k/2.0%), and Man Down continued with 610k (3.5%) at 10pm (103k/1.1%).

On Channel 5, Hiroshima: The Aftermath gathered 787k (3.7%) at 8pm (106k/0.5%), while Big Brother rose to 1.05m (5.1%) at 9pm (125k/0.8%).

ITV2's Love Island pressed on with 496k (3.4%) at 9pm, while True Detective won over 115k (0.6%) for Sky Atlantic in the same timeslot.
