Britain's Got Talent wows 7.8m viewers on Thursday night

Britain's Got Talent dominated Thursday's (May 28) ratings, according to overnight data.

The penultimate semi-final wowed 7.77m (37.2%) between 7.30pm and 9pm on ITV, while another 327,000 tuned in on +1.

Later, the live results show - which featured a live performance from Olly Murs - brought in 7.27m (34.5%) at 9.30pm (287k/2.0% on +1).

On BBC One, Watchdog interested 2.28m (10.7%) at 8pm, while Britain's Secret Terror Deals was seen by 1.31m (6.1%). Question Time followed with 2.06m (19.6%) at 10.45pm.

BBC Two's A Cook Abroad gathered 1.03m (5.6%) at 7pm, before Springwatch dipped slightly to 1.64m (7.7%) at 8pm, and The Game entertained 920k (4.3%) at 9pm. QI was up next with 890k (5.1%) at 10pm.

Channel 4's Born Naughty? intrigued 790k (3.7%) at 8pm (208k/1.0%), while Inside Jaguar: Making a Million Pound Car proved popular with 1.53m (7.1%) at 9pm (215k/1.4%).

The Hotel Inspector: Abroad aired to 858k (4.0%) at 9pm, while Big Brother rose to 1.0m (6.3%) with Aaron Frew's ejection at 10pm (85k/1.0%). Big Brother's Bit on the Side appealed to 514k (5.8%) at 11pm (24k/0.6%).

The Big Bang Theory continued to be a ratings winner for E4 with 797k (3.6%) at 8.30pm, while Glee returned to Sky1 for its final series with 87k (0.4%) at 9pm.
