Champions League tops ratings on Tuesday night

ITV's European football coverage topped the ratings outside of soaps on Tuesday (May 5), according to overnight data.

Juventus and Real Madrid's Champions League semi-final first leg entertained 3.58m (17.1%) between 7.30pm and 10pm.

BBC One's 24 Hours in the Past dropped to 3.22m (15.2%) for its second episode at 9pm, while Del Boys and Dealers continued with 1.73m (18.5%) at 10.45pm.

On BBC Two, Coast Australia interested 1.32m (7.1%) at 7pm, before Inside the Factory: How Our Favourite Foods Are Made was seen by 2.11m (9.9%), and Wastemen gathered 1.76m (8.3%) at 9pm.

Channel 4's No Offence launched with an impressive 2.15m (10.1%) at 9pm, with a further 323,000 (2.1%) tuning in on +1. Earlier, Kirstie and Phil's Love It or List It attracted 1.77m (8.3%) at 8pm (270k/1.3%).

On Channel 5, Britain's Horror Homes fascinated 830k (3.9%) at 8pm (88k/0.4%), while 20 Moments That Rocked Britain averaged 981k (5.3%) at 9pm (104k/0.9%).

Educating Joey Essex: General Election, What Are You Sayin'? intrigued 421k (2.0%) at 9pm, while E4's Empire continued with 329k (1.6%) in the same timeslot.
