Silent Witness finale tops Tuesday evening with 6m viewers

Silent Witness rose by around 300,000 viewers to top Tuesday evening, overnight data reveals.

The 18th series finale brought in an average 6.00 million (25.3%) at 9pm on BBC One. Later, Count Arthur Strong amused 1.31m (11.3%) at 10.35pm.

On BBC Two, Alex Polizzi: The Fixer appealed to 1.92m (8.7%) at 8pm, followed by Inside the Commons with 1.69m (7.2%) at 9pm. Rory Bremner's Coalition Report attracted 1.39m (7.9%) at 10pm.

ITV's Deirdre & Me tribute was seen by 2.83m (12.9%) at 7.30pm (181k/0.8% on +1). Bad Builders: Bang to Rights gathered 2.31m (10.5%) at 8pm (149k/0.6%), while Paul O'Grady's Animal Orphans interested 2.43m (10.3%) at 9pm (270k/1.7%).

On Channel 4, The Jump continued with 1.84m (8.3%) at 8pm (252k/1.1%), followed by 24 Hours in Police Custody with 942k (4.0%) at 9pm (331k/2.1%) and Gordon Ramsay's Hotel Hell with 646k (4.1%) at 10pm (185k/2.2%).

Channel 5's Benidorm ER attracted 805k (3.7%) at 8pm, while Celebrity Big Brother's latest episode entertained 2.26m (9.5%) at 9pm (336k/2.1%). 10,000 BC dipped to 961k (5.9%) at 10pm (143k/1.7%).

On BBC Three, Excluded: Kicked Out of School concluded with 339k (1.4%) at 9pm. On BBC Four, Digging for Britain launched with 715k (3.2%) at 8pm, followed by Timewatch with 702k (3.0%) at 9pm.

E4's The 100 continued with 533k (2.3%) at 9pm (162k/1.0%), while Supernatural thrilled 240k (1.5%) at 10pm.
