I'm a Celebrity tops Monday ratings with 9.2 million viewers

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! was the easy winner on Monday evening, overnight data reveals.

The ITV reality show dropped around 800,000 viewers from Sunday's launch, but still attracted an average audience of 9.29 million (38.2%) at 9pm (403k/2.5% on +1).

Earlier, Countrywise brought in 2.97m (12.9%) at 8pm (104k/0.4%), while I'm a Celebrity... Now! entertained 918k (5.6%) at 10pm on ITV2 (105k/1.2%).

On BBC One, a repeat of Room 101 amused 2.10m (9.0%) at 8.30pm, followed by a repeat of New Tricks with 2.87m (11.8%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's Strictly: It Takes Two attracted 2.14m (11.0%) at 6.30pm. University Challenge puzzled 2.64m (11.5%) at 8pm, followed by Only Connect with 2.07m (8.9%) at 8.30pm. Intruders continued with 472k (1.9%) at 9pm.

On Channel 4, Dispatches interested 1.14m (4.9%) at 8pm (151k/0.6%). How To Sell Your Home was seen by 1.18m (5.1%) at 8.30pm (113k/0.5%), while 24 Hours in Police Custody fascinated 1.04m (4.3%) at 9pm (359k/2.2%).

Channel 5's documentary Jack the Ripper: Missing Evidence attracted 995k (4.3%) at 8pm, followed by the latest Gotham with 1.07m (4.4%) at 9pm (144k/0.9%) and Under the Dome with 670k (3.9%) at 10pm.

On E4, Made in Chelsea dropped to a new low of 401k (1.7%) at 9pm (244k/1.5%). BBC Three's Some Girls gathered 442k (2.4%) at 10pm.

On BBC Four, Len Goodman's Intimate History of Dance appealed to 1.09m (4.5%) at 9pm.

Fox's latest episode of The Walking Dead thrilled 660k (2.7%) at 9pm.

Jack the Ripper: Missing Evidence was a very plausible theory, the programme was however fatally flawed. It assumed there were six victims when officially there were only five. Such murders were common in London at that time and the actual number of Ripper victims is widely disputed but this should have been pointed out in the programme.
