The Delorean!

I thoroughly enjoyed this one, partly because it brought back so many memories of when I worked on it.

Interesting, nobody mentioned the big problem with the stainless steel body, which was if you left a sweaty or oily hand print on it, it was a b*gger to get off!

Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

For the Love of Cars was the second programme in the space of a week to deal with the DeLorean and I have to say I thought last Monday's Classic Car Rescue on Channel 5 did it much better. We learned from the latter, for example, to avoid any specimen with an incomplete front left wing as replacement panels are almost impossible to come by for that side. Philip Glenister's offering was very superficial by comparison, it told us very little about the car we didn't already know from news items of the period.

Didn't see that one Dutchman, I'll have to see if it's on catchup.

Having watched it Dutchman, I'm not exactly impressed. At best I'd describe them as a bunch of clowns, at worst, well...

Unfortunately, the classic car scene is littered with chancers like these.

Entertaining though, and thanks for the link.

Last night's "Wheeler Dealers" on Quest featured yet another DeLorean!

By the way I've been told by car restorers that you never get back the money you spend despite all these TV programmes claiming to make a profit.

The Land Rover auction in the last episode of "For the Love of Cars" was famously rigged. The winning bidder was a business partner of the mechanic who restored the vehicle!
