BBC One's Escape Artist climbed back up the ratings on Tuesday night, according to overnight data.
David Tennant's drama gained around 400,000 viewers from last week, rising to 4.55 million (20.4%) at 9pm.
On BBC Two, MasterChef: The Professionals cooked up 3.37m (14.7%) at 8pm. Strange Days: Cold War Britain interested 1.26m (5.7%) at 9pm. Returning comedy Hebburn amused 1.09m (6.2%) at 10pm.
ITV's Martin Lewis Money Show appealed to 2.79m (12.1%) at 8pm (256k/1.1% on +1), while Missing: Without a Trace brought in 2.55m (11.4%) at 9pm (191k/1.2%).
On Channel 4, Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners attracted 1.70m (7.4%) at 8pm (463k/2.1%). New series The Sound of Musicals was seen by 1.24m (5.6%) at 9pm (197k/1.2%). Masters of Sex continued with 595k (3.9%) at 10pm (147k/1.8%).
Channel 5's latest episode of The Mentalist thrilled 1.21m (5.4%) at 9pm (145k/0.9%), while Castle gathered 729k (4.5%) at 10pm.
On BBC Three, Snow, Sex & Suspicious Parents entertained 814k (3.7%) at 9pm. BBC Four's Lost Cities of the Ancients educated 787k (3.4%) at 8pm.
