Ratings: 'Poirot' holds steady at 4.4m for second episode...

ITV's Poirot held steady in the ratings for its second new episode on Wednesday, according to overnight data.

The crime drama dipped by around 30,000 viewers from last week to 4.37 million (19.7%) at 8pm (285k/1.5% on +1).

On BBC One, Watchdog interested 4.26m (19.2%) at 8pm, while Autumn Supermarket Secrets gathered 3.76m (17.0%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's Autumnwatch appealed to 2.00m (9.0%) at 8pm. The second Ambassadors with Mitchell and Webb dipped by around 200k to 1.00m (4.5%) at 9pm.

On Channel 4, River Cottage to the Core brought in 1.14m (5.1%) at 8pm (193k/0.9%). Grand Designs gathered 2.38m (10.8%) at 9pm (381k/2.3%), followed by Gogglebox with 1.28m (7.5%) at 10.15pm (216k/2.4%).

Channel 5's documentary I Lost Weight But I Lost My Husband entertained 990k (4.5%) at 9pm (109k/0.6%). The latest Wentworth gathered 855k (5.1%) at 10pm (147k/1.6%).

On BBC Three, Don't Tell the Bride was seen by 647k (2.9%) at 9pm, while Family Guy amused 609k (5.8%) at 11pm.

ITV2's The Only Way Is Essex brought in 630k (3.6%) at 10pm (120k/1.3%). On Sky Atlantic, The Tunnel dropped to 206k (0.9%) at 9pm.
