Ratings: 'Whitechapel' finale seen by 3.3m on Wednesday

Whitechapel's finale episode bounced back in the ratings on Wednesday, according to overnight data.

The ITV drama gained back over 200,000 viewers from last week with 3.29 million (15.6%) at 9pm (205k/1.3% on +1). Big Star's Little Star entertained 3.61m (17.0%) at 8pm (177k/0.8%).

On BBC One, Watchdog interested 4.40m (20.8%) at 8pm, followed by The Great British Year with 3.15m (15.0%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's House that 100k Built appealed to 1.96m (9.3%) at 8pm, while Dan Snow's History of Congo educated 1.25m (5.9%) at 9pm.

On Channel 4, Three Day Nanny attracted 995k (4.7%) at 8pm (130k/0.6%). Grand Designs continued with 2.53m (12.0%) at 9pm (252k/1.6%), and Gogglebox amused 1.40m (8.3%) at 10pm (122k/1.4%).

Channel 5's documentary Fat for Cash gathered 1.15m (5.4%) at 9pm (99.9k/0.6%), followed by Wentworth with 686k (4.4%) at 10pm.

On ITV2, The Only Way Is Vegas was seen by 679k (1.3%) at 10pm (125k/1.5%).

Channel 4's 'Gogglebox' was brilliant last night and worth watching if only for viewers' reactions to the awful 'Sex Box' shown the night before :lol:
