Long Lost Family ended its current series with over 4.5 million viewers on Monday evening, according to overnight data.
Davina McCall's ITV show dropped nearly 500,000 viewers from last week, but still topped the ratings outside of soaps with 4.66m (21.4%) at 9pm (179k/1.1% on +1).
Earlier, Food, Facts & Fiction gathered 3.45m (15.6%) at 8pm (139k/0.6%).
On BBC One, Fight Back Britain interested 2.76m (12.2%) at 8.30pm. A repeat of Death in Paradise brought in 2.99m (13.7%) at 9pm.
BBC Two's Wild Cameramen at Work appealed to 1.25m (5.8%) at 7.30pm, followed by University Challenge with 2.52m (11.3%) at 8pm. Raymond Blanc's How To Cook Well was seen by 1.58m (7.0%) at 8.30pm.
On Channel 4, new series Benefits Britain 1949 attracted 1.95m (9.0%) at 9pm (291k/1.8%), while Gordon Ramsay's US series Hotel Hell opened with 1.14m (7.1%) at 10pm (160k/1.9%).
Channel 5's Billion Dollar Wreck Hunt continued with 1.07m (4.7%) at 8pm, followed by Big Brother with 1.27m (5.9%) at 9pm (219k/1.3%). Liz McLarnon's My Cyberstalking Hell interested 550k (3.3%) at 10pm.
On BBC Three, Stacey Dooley Investigates launched to 715k (3.3%) at 9pm.
