Paul O'Grady's 'For the Love of Dogs' rises to over 5m

Paul O'Grady's For the Love of Dogs climbed to over 5 million viewers on ITV, overnight data reveals.

The latest episode of the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home documentary series took in 4.98m (23.7%) at 8.30pm with a further 235,000 (1.1%) on +1.

Murder on the Homefront dropped over 500k viewers for its second episode, but still attracted 3.79m (17.7%) at 9pm (126k/0.8% on +1). Earlier, a Tonight special about Tia Sharp's murder was seen by 2.63m (13.2%) at 7.30pm (189k/0.9%).

On BBC One, Britain's Biggest Hoarders held steady with 3.30m (15.4%) at 9pm, while Question Time brought in 2.41m (20.9%) at 10.45pm.

BBC Two's Dambusters: 70 Years On documentary attracted 2.02m (10.5%) at 7pm, followed by Bradford: City of Dreams with 1.36m (6.5%) at 8pm.

The Tube: An Underground History was seen by 2.18m (10.2%) at 9pm, while Watson & Oliver amused 729k (3.9%) at 10pm.

On Channel 4, Secret Eaters grabbed 1.13m (5.4%) at 8pm (257k/1.2%). New series Murder Workers educated 884k (4.3%) at 9pm (271k/1.9%).

Channel 5's documentary Aliens: Are We Alone? secured 1.21m (5.8%) at 8pm.

BBC Three's coverage of the second Eurovision semi-final entertained 491k (2.3%) at 8pm. A repeat of Russell Howard's Good News attracted 759k (4.1%) at 10pm.

On E4, The Big Bang Theory tickled 1.23m (5.9%) at 8pm (364k/1.7%), followed by How I Met Your Mother with 741k (3.5%) at 8.30pm (227k/1.1%).

ITV2's Peter Andre: My Life continued with 1.09m (3.7%) at 9pm, while Celebrity Juice amused 1.09m at 10pm (234k/2.5%).
