Thurs ratings: 'Celebrity Juice' continues to shine for ITV2

Celebrity Juice continued to prove popular on Thursday evening, while Hidden just outperformed Joanna Lumley's Greek Odyssey, the latest audience data has shown.



The new series of comedy panel show Celebrity Juice amused 1.28m (6.7%) on ITV2 from 10pm and 206k (2.1%) on timeshift. Earlier, The X Factor USA racked up 732k (3.1%) on the channel from 8pm and 141k (0.7%) on +1.

Hidden, starring Philip Glenister as troubled solicitor Harry Venn, was seen by 3.76m (16.4%) on BBC One in the 9pm slot, down by almost 500k week-on-week.

But the drama still proved too strong for Joanna Lumley's Greek Odyssey, which delighted 3.59m (15.6%) on ITV1 and 148k (0.8%) on +1.

Elsewhere on BBC One, Watchdog was seen by 4.06m (16.7%) in the 8pm hour and Question Time quizzed 2.31m (20.3%) from 10.45pm.

Beeny's Restoration Nightmare returned with 1.62m (6.7%) on Channel 4 in the 8pm slot and 286k (1.2%) on +1. Educating Essex educated 1.52m (6.6%) and 247k (0.8%) on timeshift. Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares served up 970k (5.5%) from 10pm, and 125k (1.4%) on +1.

A History of Ancient Britain had 1.61m (7.3%) on BBC Two in the 7pm hour, before The Great British Bakeoff, recapping the best bits of the series, served up 1.51m (6.2%) from 8pm and Mixed Britannia took 1.25m (5.4%) from 9pm. Mock The Week amused 1.41m (7.1%) from 10pm.

Channel 5's live coverage of Tottenham Hotspur's Europa League clash with Rubin Kazan was seen by 1.68m (7.2%) between 7.30pm and 10pm. Afterwards, Big Brother entertained 1.37m (8.8%) from 10pm and spinoff Big Brother's Bit On The Side had 447k (5.6%) from 11pm.

Overall, BBC One edged primetime with 20.6% against ITV1's 19.4% (+1: 0.6%). Channel 5 ranked in third with 6.6%, ahead of BBC Two with 6.3% and Channel 4 with 5.6% (+1: 0.8%).

Elsewhere, the new series of House took 183k (1%) on Sky1. Don't Tell The Bride - The Vegas One captivated 427k (1.8%) on BBC Three from 9pm, while Shock and Awe: The Story of Electricity electrified 408k (1.8%) on BBC Four.
