Monday night ratings:'Hugh's Fish Fight' catches nearly 1.5m

The return of Hugh's Fish Fight caught almost 1.5m on Monday night, while Mr T's World's Craziest Fools ended with 690k, according to the latest audience data.

Hugh's Fish Fight: The Battle Continues, featuring TV cook Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall restarting his campaign to change the way people eat fish, was seen by 1.43m (5.7%) on Channel 4 in the 9pm hour, along with 177k (0.9%) on +1.

Also in the 9pm hour, Jason Manford's comedy talent show Show Me The Funny amused 1.87m (7.5%) on ITV1, as former Eddie Murphy lookalike Rudi Lickwood became the fourth contestant to be eliminated after a gig in front of hospital staff.

However, both shows were easily outperformed by a new episode of New Tricks, titled 'Objects Of Desire', which averaged 8.15m (32.6%) for BBC One.

On BBC Three, World's Craziest Fools ended its debut run with 692k (3.9%) from 10.30pm. Earlier, Underage and Pregnant mustered 487k (2%) from 8.30pm and Cherry's Parenting Dilemmas captivated 480k (1.8%) from 9pm.

Back on the terrestrials, Fake Britain fetched 3.45m (15.9%) on BBC One from 7.30pm, while Countrywise Kitchen served up 3.01m (13.2%) on ITV1 from 8pm. Panorama grabbed 2.63m (11%) on BBC One from 8.30pm and A Question of Sport had 2.71m (16.5%) from 10.45pm.

Victorian Pharmacy and Wonderstuff scooped 720k (3.6%) and 860k (4%) respectively on BBC Two in the 7pm hour. University Challenge and Antiques Master captivated 2.41m (10.2%) and 1.59m (6.6%) in the 8pm hour. Horizon enthralled 1.29m (5.2%) from 9pm and Shooting Stars amused 1.12m (5.1%) from 10pm.

New series The Secret Life of Buildings continued with 780k (3.3%) on Channel 4 in the 8pm hour. Jennifer Saunders: Laughing At The 90s mustered 650k (4.1%) from 10pm.

Channel 5's How Do They Do It? pulled in 422k (1.9%) from 7.30pm, before Police Interceptors arrested 1.3m (5.5%) from 8pm. A showing of The Invasion fetched 1.03m (4.5%) from 9pm.

Overall, BBC One dominated primetime with 25% against ITV1's 18.7% (+1: 0.4%). BBC Two came in third place with 5.9%, followed by Channel 4's 4.3% and Channel 5's 4% (+1: 0.7%).

Elsewhere, Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen USA continued on ITV2 with 433k (1.7%) from 10pm and 145k (0.7%) on +1.
