Death in Paradise was still the killer attraction on Thursday nights for BBC One.
The exotic Kris Marshall crime drama continued with an average overnight audience of 6.09 million (27.3%) at 9pm. However, it dropped nearly 700,000 from last week's return.
Earlier, Dickensian brought in 2.48m (11.7%) at 8pm, followed by Room 101 with 2.71m (13.0%) at 8.30pm. On BBC Two, World's Sneakiest Animals tickled 1.67m (7.9%) at 8pm.
ITV's Birds of a Feather rose by around 800k from last week to 4.68m (22.4%) at 8.30pm (154k/0.7% on +1), while Jericho dipped by 200k to 2.75m (11.4%) at 9pm (301k/1.9%).
On Channel 4, Location, Location, Location is still going strong with 2.25m (10.7%) at 8pm (215k/1.0%), followed by Restoration Man with 1.45m (6.5%) at 9pm (315k/2.0%).
Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother attracted 2.10m (9.4%) at 9pm (267k/1.7%), as viewers tuned in for more dramatic scenes including an intervention from security in the house.
On Sky1, A League of Their Own entertained 416k (1.9%) at 9pm.
