All five seasons of the AMC drama will be broadcast on new UK channel Spike after its launch next month.

Breaking Bad tells the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), who turns to drug production to pay for treatment and support his family after he is diagnosed with lung cancer.

The award-winning series charts his rise from chemistry teacher to criminal mastermind and murderer.

Spike launches in April and will air on Freeview channel 31, the slot which previously housed 5USA. The US-themed channel will move to channel 21, replacing Viva.

Many of Viva's former programmes will move to 5* on channel 30.

The few remaining programmes on VIVA! (just two hours each morning) have now been moved from Channel 74 to Channel 58 and can no longer be picked up without a Freeview HD box. Some areas will not be able to receive VIVA! at all as it is now transmitted on a much weaker signal.
