Jason Manford's new BBC One series topped the ratings outside soaps on Tuesday evening, overnight data reveals.
Ordinary Lies was seen by an average audience of 4.69 million viewers (21.6%) at 9pm. Later, documentary Life After Suicide was seen by 1.34m (14.8%) at 10.35pm.
ITV's coverage of Arsenal's Champions League exit scored 4.23m (19.7%) from 7.30pm.
On BBC Two, Hairy Bikers and Lorraine Pascale brought in 1.61m (8.1%) at 7pm. Back In Time for Dinner - this week featuring an appearance from Mary Berry - followed with 2.17m (10.1%) at 8pm. Horizon appealed to 1.03m (4.7%) at 9pm, while Nurse continued with 661,000 (4.0%) at 10pm.
Channel 4's Secret Shopper gathered 1.26m (5.9%) at 8pm (124k/0.6% on +1), while One Born Every Minute amazed 1.54m (7.1%) at 9pm (231k/1.6%). A Gogglebox repeat tickled 1.10m (7.5%) at 10pm (171k/2.3%).
On Channel 5, Costa Del Casualty attracted 1.00m (4.7%) at 8pm, followed by Benefits Estate with 891k (4.1%) at 9pm.
BBC Three's World's Toughest Jobs was seen by 317k (1.5%) at 9pm. Uncle concluded with 340k (2.0%) at 10pm.
On E4, The 100 thrilled 513k (2.4%) at 9pm, while MTV's Ex on the Beach entertained 273k (1.8%) at 10pm.
